Westnet x NTUA Collaboration

Westnet and AUX actively support the next generation of Engineers and the HVAC sector.

As part of this initiative, we proceeded with a donation to the National Technical University of Athens of a state-of-the-art 16 kW AUX heat pump using R290 refrigerant, including full hydraulic equipment, a 10kW photovoltaic system, a 10kWh battery, a three-phase hybrid inverter, as well as an integrated Energy Management System (HEMS). The entire system – heat pump, photovoltaics, battery and inverter – features remote monitoring and management capabilities.

This equipment supports the specialised training needs of Mechanical Engineering students, PhD candidates and HVAC professionals, while also contributing to the energy demands of the Thermodynamics Building.

The installation of the complete system was carried out by our partner company SENIP, successfully completing this comprehensive donation initiative to the Laboratory of Applied Thermodynamics of the School of Mechanical Engineering at NTUA.

Through this action, we strengthen the infrastructure of the National Technical University of Athens and actively contribute to the promotion of green energy and sustainable development.
