Who we are

The founder of the Olympia Group, Panos Germanos, having recognized the emerging opportunities in the computing distribution market at that time, founded Westnet Distribution S.A. One month later, in October, our company had already become official distributor of all Hewlett Packard products.

We launch our B2B e-shop and we open our branch in Thessaloniki to meet the needs of the Northern Greece’s market.

It’s the year we enter into major partnerships with leading IT and tech firms like Panda and Samsung.

We partner with ASUS to exclusively distribute its products (laptops, desktops and monitors) in the Greek market.

Despite the financial crisis that had already struck Greece, we manage to add new partnerships to our portfolio, including major companies like Philips, ESET and Kaspersky.

We begin exclusively importing eSTAR tablets to Greece, which within just 2 years manage to gain the 3rd largest market share as one of the most reliable b-brand tablets in Greece and Cyprus.

This is the year we develop exclusive partnerships in new product categories such as tablets, with LENOVO.

We become dynamically involved with home connectivity products and IP cameras, concluding new partnerships with leaders in the sector like D-Link and TP-Link.

We start new contracts in accessories and peripherals like Logitech, Creative, Trust and Polaroid, while making a dynamic entry into gaming.

We launch two major new partnerships, with Microsoft for all of its consumer products and with Canon for photo and printing products. In parallel, we enter into the TV market through an exclusive partnership with Hitachi.

We proceed to the establishment of our subsidiary in Cyprus, Westnet Distribution Ltd.

We further expand our portfolio with the addition of two new categories through exclusive distribution contracts: home appliances of Sharp in Greece and consumer batteries of Toshiba in Europe, Middle East and Africa. Moreover, we establish our cooperation with Fujitsu, bringing the full range of the latter’s computing products and solutions to the markets of Greece and Cyprus.

We develop our business in networking launching Aruba’s top switches and Wi-Fi access points.

We start new great partnerships, with Fitbit for its entire portfolio of smartwatches and with Amica for home appliances, while we are expanding in cyber security with Checkpoint and unified communication with Avaya.

We enter dynamically in the category of air conditioning with our cooperation with the leading AUX Group for residential AC products in Greece. In July we start our operation in Poland establishing the subsidiary Westnet Distribution Poland sp. z o.o., while we undertake a new exclusive distribution contract for Toshiba led lighting in Europe.

We expand our partnership with AUX assuming also the distribution of commercial air conditioning products while we start a new dynamic collaboration with Daewoo in the categories of home appliances and television.
